Local New England events that support authors and illustrators is right up the WL's alley! Join us in a field trip to the Concord-Carlisle High School for free panels, breakout sessions, and signings!

Calling all writers and artists!

You’re going to love this year’s Young Adult Author Symposium (YAAS)! 

This free festival is returning to Concord-Carlisle High School on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 9am-2pm. Twenty authors and illustrators slated to appear at YAAS, modeled after the Boston Teen Author Fest of yore, with panels, breakout sessions, and signings. Our main audience is teenagers, but anyone who loves YA and/or writes for teens is also welcome to attend. Also, if anyone might want to appear as an author or illustrator at a future YAAS, it would be helpful to attend to see what it's all about. The Silver Unicorn Bookstore will be on hand selling books, and food will also be available to purchase. 

You’ll get the chance to meet the following authors and illustrators, hear about how they created their books, and learn how you can write or draw your own!
