Spotlight On: Kickstarter: LUNA LILY and the LUNAR PARK

Kickstarter is one of my favorite platforms, because it is a way to make publishing dreams come true. Especially for projects that are super expensive to create--anything illustrated, for example. 

It's also a great way to build fans BEFORE you publish. You know, build that list of people who love your stuff and will always want to know when you have a new book coming out. 

So, we're spotlighting Bob Thibeault and his amazing project: Luna Lily and the Lunar Park. It's a fully illustrated graphic novel over ten years in the making. 

Follow along as Bob builds his fan base, funds his dream project, and finds success through Kickstarter! 

One of the pitfalls for Kickstarter is breaking even (or losing money) even when a project is successful due to shipping costs, pricing things too low, or not accounting for the percentage Kickstarter takes. 

Kristen Wixted and I have supported Bob behind the scenes as he's made smart decisions at each turn to find the most successful Kickstarter path.
