Teen Groups

Membership in the Teen group is free–you just have to bee a teen, sign up, show up, love writing, and support other writing teens.

As a member of this group, you can attend any programming at the Writers’ Loft FOR FREE, as long as that program isn’t sold out. Classes, workshops, critique groups, you name it!

If you are interested, please email Heather at WritersLoftMA@gmail.com

During the school year, we meet once a month on the weekend. We do not meet in the summer.

Teen Writers Think Tank FAQ

1. Do I have to be currently writing something in order to join?

No. But you do have to love to write and love to read, and enjoy learning and talking about writing and reading. Everyone’s busy with homework and school. But this is a great place to connect with other peers who are passionate about books and writing.

2. Do I have to write novels to join?

No. We kick off our season during NaNo because it’s so much fun, but you don’t need to be a novelist to come. You could be a poet, a picture book writer, a writer/illustrator, or just love stringing words together.

3. What’s the most important thing I should know before coming?

The most important thing to know is that this is a supportive, affirming group of teens who love to write and talk about books.

4. I’m an adult, but this content looks great. Can I sit in?

Occasionally, we’ll let an adult sit in on a workshop for TWTT. But most of the time, the group is a private, safe place for the teens to talk writing (and more). We limit adult involvement to the one adult co-leader of the group, normally. But, feel free to email the Loft and see if you can sit in on a specific workshop.
